Tally (Rollick Time)

100_2919Tally, registered name Rollick Time, is a 15 year old, 15 hand TB mare that had been a former lesson horse. This mare had fallen on hard times and RCER was requested to take her in for rehab & rehoming. She is currently thin and will need some time to recover from the lack of nutrition and weaning of a foal in January.  Tally has a pretty face and kind eye, very nice to work with.

6/07/2014 Update

Tally came to RCER in Feb, very thin and sore. Throughout her rehab, she was gentle and a trooper. Katie and daughter Ellie offered to foster Tally in April and she went to live with them, with the idea that they could adopt her if she worked out for Ellie. After much discussion, they decided that Tally was a bit more horse that they were looking for and decided not the adopt and notified RCER.

About an hour after their decision, RCER received a teary phone call from Jennifer. She is the person who raised Tally from a foal and had lost track of her last year, had no knowledge that she was in rescue. A friend of Jennifer’s had seen Tally on our web site and gave Jennifer a phone call. Jennifer could not believe what she was hearing, her daughter had learned to ride on Tally. Long story made short, they came today and took Tally home. Picture is Jennifer (in red shirt) and daughter, Katie and daughter Ellie, the foster parents to Tally. Many tears were shed today, all of which ended in very happy smiles.

Congratulations Tally.
