Ernie
his story...
Ernie is a QH gelding standing 15 hands tall. We have been told that he has been ridden on a feedlot and out on the trails. However, we cannot confirm that. Ernie came from a ranch in North Dakota and carries a brand on his right hip.
Ernie had a previous injury to his right hock (scar visible). X-ray shows fusion to the lower portion of the joint and beginning of arthritis. This does not slow him down at all, but probably won't be the best long term for activities where he needs to take tight turns at a fast gate.
This very smart boy (and total goofball) can be ridden but was not given a good foundation as a youngster, so we are starting him over with good groundwork, consistency and patience. Ernie requires an experienced horse person that can continue his restart.
Ernie gets bored easy and would do best in a home with other horses to play with and a job. He needs to be busy.
He is up to date on his vaccinations, teeth floating, worming and foot trimming. Can be dominate in the herd.
