ADOPTING a HORSE

When you a adopt a horse you are giving a horse in need the ultimate gift...a forever, loving home. In return you will gain a friend, a trusting companion, and unconditional love.  If you would like to give the ultimate gift to a horse in need please fill out an adoption application.  An adoption application is required to adopt an animal from Rodeo City Equine Rescue. Applications are screened and references are checked before animals are placed into new homes. If you are approved a $400 adoption fee is required unless otherwise noted. NOTE: RCER does not place stallions for adoption. Stallions will be gelded before placement

Why is there an adoption fee?

An adoption fee is required to help cover some of the costs that is accrued when a new horse is taken in by RCER.  The horses health is our number one priority so we make sure they are current on vaccinations, foot care, dental, and worming before they can be adopted out. In most cases the adoption fee does not cover the full cost of the horse while it is in our care because of this donations are very important.

Example of what it costs when RCER brings a horse in

vaccinations - $60
hoof care - $35
dental - $175
worming - $15
hay and grain for one month - $130

Total - $415
